About Älvtank

Älvtank is one of many companies with long shipping tradition on the island of Donsö in Gothenburg southern archipelago. The company history started in the early 1920’s as the great grandfather bought a three mast schooner and twenty years later the first tanker vessel was acquired together with a partner. Over the years the following generations have conducted the company well, sailing their own vessels and acquiring and selling new ones when a good opportunity arose. Today the company is owned by two families that manage two tanker vessels and 40 employees at sea and 4 in the office ashore.
